Oh, boy, mama is really on her warpath now after having read a piece in The New York Times about the Chinese program to ‘exercise’ pigs and create better meat. The farmers throw their pigs off of high places into water and the pigs have to swim, whether they like it or not. WELL, THEY DON’T. Like it, I mean. They do swim but not willingly, poverini.
There are some who feel that this is cruel animal abuse, but evidently not enough are protesting this horrible and painful punishment to piggies.
Now, I have never even seen a real pig, but I know how cute they are and even if a bit lazy, they still are very smart creatures and are probably, even as I write, plotting revenge acts on their so-called masters that might entail, say, pushing their masters into the pig pens when the pigs are just about to get supper and are very, very hungry.
A pig will eat anything if it is hungry enough, even a farmer, and no doubt these poor piglets don’t discriminate, right? Just a little shove from behind of one piggy and another to trip up the farmer and in he goes…Farmer Fricasee!
See what you think about this Chinese development in the pig-farming business, and I’ll start writing those piggies with more ideas on how to get back at their owners!

We saw this, it’s a nasty competition where people bet on the pigs, a race, with stewards on the banks, using sticks to make the terrified pigs stay in the water.
The Chinese have a seriously long way to go in matters of animal welfare. Just don’t Google “Yulin Dog & Cat Meat Festival” really, just don’t. It’s horrific.
We love your menu for avenging piggies but hate the what happens to animals in China 🙁

Humans get such dumb ideas! Why not just lead the pigs in a jogging parade? That would exercise the pigs. And the farmer.
