I gotta hand it to you! Er…paw it.

Well, first I have to thank Brian and Jan and others who try so often to help me get videos and more on my blog or even get a BLOG on my blog, haha…IT WILL HAPPEN!!!

I just haven’t had the time to sit and study a bit with a nice WordPress teaching site, which I have found, and I am fully aware that putting videos in a blog takes only a few moment of knowledge and that many bloggers are very adept, whatever that means, at doing so.  Just not me.  Yet.

STILL, it’s a rainy day in Roma Town and perhaps today is THE day of breakthrough.

Naturally, you will be the first to know.

Meanwhile, I’m helping mama bake almond crisps for a doctor friend’s dinner tonight.

Mama’s doc here in Italy, Susan Levenstein, has published a BOOK—Dottoressa, A Woman Doctor in Rome (in English so far)—and it’s wonderful, funny, sad, alarming and really worth a read even if you are not in the medical world.  Some of it is hair-raising but so much of it is from her heart 40 years of doctoring in Italy, and often hilarious.

Mama, too, has had her medical moments here.  One morning at the gynecologist’s apartment (her clinic!), mama was…er…up on the table waiting for the doctor when she felt two little noses at table height…er…nosing around…you get the picture, and she sat up to find TWO TABLE-HEIGHT BLOND AFGAN HOUNDS sniffing hello!  “Oh, don’t worry,” the doc assured mama.  “They were just at the doggy bath place and they are perfectly clean!

Well, enough of THAT!

Hey, that’s the kind of weird story that makes me have to tune out for…zzzzzz.
