I remember falling in love with Italy and walking by a MacDonald’s in Rome and seeing all the American tourists sitting their eating their burgers. I thought “are they crazy? All this amazing food and they’re eating BURGERS!!!’
And they still are…they eat panini or burgers and walk around with drinks in their hands and iPhones and don’t look up much. But I do see some who linger at loveliness every now and then.
