Wordless Wonders

That is one BIG hole, mama. Doesn’t the rain come in? No?

Wow, good architect!

The Pantheon with its famous hole in the ceiling…

So many statues to perch upon and survey the antics of the “senate and people of Rome”…senatus et populus qua romanus”…on every Roman manhole cover and elsewhere on public properties. Just to remind everyone what belongs to whom, haha.

Santa Maria del popolo, mama’s and papa’s favorite little church and  the lovely angel holding the blessing water.

Last but not least, mama’s favorite food!

I think I’ll do little tours of beautiful places now that the weather is lovely…more to come.

I have not been to Rome in so long, it was beautiful. Maybe someday I can go back and see these places again.

My Mama loves those prickly things too – her Mom just boiled them and served them on their own with a little dish of butter for dipping the leaves in and Mama would eat the tender bit and move on to the next and the next until getting to the “choke”! What a treat they were. I would like to play with one!! Glad your Mama and Papa are seeing the sights and enjoying their trip.

Hugs, Teddy

Such a pretty place. I’d love to see that some day but it won’t happen.

You’re most beautiful, Loulou. Yes you are.

Love all the shots and love the angel the second best. You’re always the first best in everything, Loulou.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Artichokes are YUMMY!
Definitely one of my favorite foods also.
And one of the few items that I had to teach The Hubby how to cook when we were first an item.
Back then, we’d boil them, and dig the leaves into melted butter.
Nowadays, he grills them and we have artichoke hearts with grilled sweet potato and quinoa or barley.
Sometimes, with pasta.

#1 was in Brittany last week. It’s famous for its artichokes, which she also loves!
