Well, this morning I tried to go out as usual and was hit by a fierce wind and water coming down all over my newly-washed pelt! The nerve of Mama Nature to pour gallons of water on our town, so much that there are actually guys out there trying to surf–in the Mediterranean!

I think they are on the wrong sea and might move a bit west to the Hawaiian Islands or thereabouts. But they’re having fun.

But it’s fun to watch, and the waves are so lovely, breaking over the walkway around our little town’s chateau so that no one can get to the marketplace without walking all around the town in the other direction. Of course at this point the market is soaking wet and closing down…poor bread sellers!

What’s going on anyway with these wild temperature and weather changes?

One day it’s 80 degrees here and overnight it goes to 50 and we all pull blankets up under our chins (even I except I have mama’s warm body for my comforter) and then we have to have sun cream and sandals for the daytime.

Weird.

And now this orage or tempête (storm). By the way, that little hat (circumflex) over the ‘e’ is in place of an ‘s’ , which happened over time as the French language developed, so it would be ‘tempest’, which is the English for a storm.

I just love all these language changes and how languages develop.  Even if I really only respond to “Kitty, kitty”, haha.

I just wish I loved this weather as much. Maybe I should go out and study meteorology in the garden and find out just why we are have these upheavals in different seasons.

Maybe tomorrow…when the sun is out. Unless I meet up with THIS guy!  Then I’m outta here…
