MAMA, WHAT’S THAT RACKET?

Well, today was mow-the-very-large-backyard day next door and our neighbor (daddy of  Sarah, the yapping Jack Russell) was running his machine for hours, it seems.  Can’t a kitty get some snooze time around here?

I mean, something like that could really program one’s dreamworld!  In fact, mama noticed that I was sort of snuffling and moaning the way anthros do when THEY dream and snuffle and moan and then I began to hum a high note and started breathing faster for a minute and then settled out with my usual (light, ladylike) snore.  But I’m pretty sure it was anxiety!

I think that cultivator makes me dream of some big noisy something chasing me!

BUT…thank heaven mama softly nudged me and I realized that I was safe and sound on the bed with her and  papa, instead of running like a bat out of hell to not get cultivated!

Mama says I am cultivated enough for her.

(We’re reading a fun summer book by Emma Straub, The Vacationers. Mama and I are going to mention books every now and then and hope we’ll get some suggestions from books you love, too.)

I’m enjoying this animal book right now, but I think it needs more words…
