Lithium Lift

Apr 3, 2015 | 4 comments

Hey, was that the front door opening?  Are they back? Pooh, false alarm…

Oh, boy, mama and I talked on the phone today and she mentioned that years ago in Texas there were small amounts of the salt, lithium, in the water of some areas.  Recently, studies made of those who took small amounts of lithium (believed to be by many only a drug for bipolar conditions or in some cases, depression) resulted in 40% less suicides in the group participating and a notable decrease in dementia.

This bodes well, no?  But guess what?  Lithium is a low cost drug and pharmaceutical companies are uninterested in the production of a drug that will not bring in big profits.

And listen to this:  7-Up used to contain small amounts of lithium until the 1950s just as Coca Cola contained small amounts of coca leaf extract.  Perhaps if small doses of lithium were available to, say, ISIS and other agressive groups on our planet, there might be hope for more peaceful solutions to the world’s problems.

I know one particular doggie who might benefit from a little sip of lithium soda…

So, that said, I could use a bit myself right now.  Here are two more reasons that I want my mama and papa back ASAP!

OKAY, OKAY, they are CUTE. SO WHAT?

They better hurry home with lots of peace offerings. They’ve been cheating on you, Loulou. Petting and cuddling other furries. 🙁
