No longer friends? Maybe that’s okay.

Well, I was doing some research on Mr. Netanyahu and if ever there was a political bully, it is he. Thank heaven I am not HIS kitty.

Let me just say this:

Israel is possibly headed for new elections, thanks to a portion of Mr. Netanyahu’s cabinet members who are opposed to him naming Israel “the nation state of the Jewish people.”

Hurrah for Mr. Lapid who has guts enough to finally stand up to a tyrant and bully.

Hurrah for Mr. Lapid who might bring attention to the sad affair of Israel and it people, most of whom are not happy with Netahyahu and would love to see a new, fresh leader who will attempt to make peace happen in that part of the world.

Hurrah for Mr. Lapid, whose intelligence and objectivity certainly overrule the pushy, selfish, and sometimes (according to some) not quite sane actions of that country’s leader.

And hurrah for Isaac Hertzog for criticizing Mr. Netanyahu for not working with Mr. Obama to move toward peaceful negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis. He is quoted as saying, “Mr. Netanyahu loathes Obama”, which is shocking in itself, but Mr. Netanyahu is fast becoming a person who will be loathed by many of his own people.  I’m not sure Mr. Obama thinks Mr. Netanyahu is the cat’s meow either.

Why on earth can’t anthros wise up and get on with LIVING TOGETHER PEACEFULLY instead of holding on to their small, petty politics which endangered so many. For goodness sake, it’s the holidays, it’s hanukkah, Christmas, Chinese New Year, Diwali, Samhain and myriad other celebrations for all believers or non-believers.

When will societies based on religious beliefs get it into their heads that they are not the only humans on the earth and that to think so is pure arrogance in its worst form. We would have no history at all if not for differences among us.

And personally, I wouldn’t want to live in an all-Tuxedo-kitty society. As interesting as I might be to myself, even I would be bored with a steady diet of ME.

And the dissention in Israel’s government might just be the ticket to change.

See how boring this gets….
