Today all I want to say is, please take time to look at this article by Frank Bruni in the NYT. It’s an eye-opener, and it’s what mama gets so irate about when she hears that women are actually thinking of voting for D. Trump!!! Or men, for that matter.

Well LouLou, you look adowable. As fur da article, we think it only states the obvious. Da thing is, this country is still very racists and sexists and anypawdy who thinks differently is kidding themselves. Mommy sez dat women may have da right to vote, but men still see them as da weaker sex. Unfurtunately da more you seem to try to force things on peeps they more obstinate they become in doin’ just da opposite. Is it fair? No, but we’s bible thumpers and believe dat da man is da head of da household. Even tho’ mommy dusn’t have one, she wuld fur sure like one. MOL We tell her she’s just fine without one. We can keep her purrlenty warm at night, and when she wants company to eat whatever she might have, don’t worry, we’ll be right there in her plate. MOL Hope you have a gweat day.

You kitties are wonderful. But in mama’s book men and women in a marriage are equal but different and each has his/her own autonomy and sense of self and respect for the other, but NO one pushes the other on around or thinks he’s/she’s boss. And you kitties are so wonderful with your mommy, no wonder that she probably doesn’t really need a man to make life beautiful when she is beautiful and has two beautiful kitties, too. Or are there three?

Oh, Lou Lou. You are lucky to be living out of the country as the presidential race becomes ever more vulgar and unbelievable – at least on the Republican side. The Democrats are talking about issues which provides a context for deciding how to vote. But what to think about the candidates for President of the United States discussing every more tacky comments which have nothing to do with our wonderful country. It sounds more like a sports locker room than a debate and I cannot understand how women can be drawn to these images and words.
Well, we actually listened to Mr. Trump last night (know thine enemy), and yes, it is really unbelievable that one of our political parties is actually represented by this incredibly crass, inelegant, often lying individual who has no sense of what our country was founded upon, and who will NEVER get it. His ideas are just a newer version of Hitler’s.
Interesting article. I had no idea Trump had said most of that stuff. I know he blurts out anything he wants, but this is ridiculous. He has plenty of money to do whatever he pleases, he is just running for president for amusement and not considering how his actions will affect most people.
