That is the saddest story I have ever heard.

Yes, mama and papa are not with me, but they will be.

We are kitties, or doggies, or animals of many kinds.  I think it’s a bit different sometimes, in the animal world, when a mama with too many babies needs to find homes for her offspring, but we are aware, all too well, that when one of us becomes very attached to our family and we have to be separated for any reason, we feel more than terrible.  One of my dear friends was put on a sales site when her elderly keeper died, and it is just by wondrous fate that she was adopted by two sweet people.  But it is hard for her to be alone, and with good reason.

Imagine little anthros of five years old and younger, of ANY age, for that matter, being forcibly taken from a parent and put in “foster” homes or camps,  and imagine the managers of these places being instructed not to touch or comfort those babies.  Perhaps you saw the five-year-old crying on the news.  It is almost unwatchable.  Watch it anyway.

Imagine how these children are being traumatized.

Imagine why this is happening.

Imagine the so-called brains behind this decision.

While political decisions are not the favourite subjects of my writing, there are some things that must not be ignored.  Speak out in any way you can against this inhuman decision to separate families because of their attempts to find a better life for their children.  And don’t think that race and color and origin of birth do not enter into this prejudiced edict.  So many facts about immigration are being overlooked, and the government has generated a fear of immigrants, a fear they use to weaken the over-250-year old reputation and history of a united and compassionate country.  False news.  It seems to be the trend now, unfortunately.
