Well, if this isn’t happy, I don’t know what is!

Oh, boy, mama has gone and put her paintings online but I don’t think she really wants to part with them but then again, maybe if she parted with one, she’d just paint another one. Papa wants her to keep everything she has painted over the last months and it’s very hard for her, too, to part with a painting, so I guess we’re at a standoff here.

I’m going to try to get her to paint more paintings of ME and then maybe she’ll let go of one or two because, as I mentioned, I can pose for HOURS and HOURS—an artist’s dream.

The main thing is that painting makes mama happy. And mama just read me a piece in the newspaper about six young Iranian dancers who were arrested for posting a video called “Happy in Tehran” on UTube, Instagram and Facebook. They were forced to repent, can you believe it, REPENT (!) on national television for their waywardness.

President Rouhani, clearly with no jurisdiction over the “Happy” police, had just given a speech about how Iran should interact with the internet rather than viewing it as a threat to society.

Well, I sure interact with the internet!!! That song comes on and my paws go pitty-pat and I myow like a myowing kitty (my spelling–I like it better than the conventional one).

“Happy” won an academy award for best original song of the year, and the Iranian kids were only trying to show that even in supressed Iran, there is happiness to be had and that “Iran is a better place than what the (world) thinks it is.”

Lucky mama to have painting. And dancing, if she wants. And singing, if she wants…

Especially the song, “Happy.”

Hey, kitties know how to wail, too…

…and wailing can also wear you out!
