They’re saying WHAT about Wendy David?

Oh, boy, is mama hot under the collar, and everywhere else, for that matter!  That incredible fillibuster-ess, Wendy Davis, who stood for 11 hours in a fillibuster to kill an unfair abortion bill in right-wing, consevative Texas, is now under fire because she allegedly did not give accurate information on her CV about her pre-politcal life as a single mother living in a trailer with two small kids and having very little money for her education.  She eventually got into and finished Harvard Law School, with some financial help from her husband.  So husbands don’t help?

So who cares if her second husband helped her pay for graduate school?  So who cares if she had to sacrifice some time with her two daughters as she studied and graduated and went on to pursue and gain stature in Texas politics?  Aren’t women supposed to be liberated by now?  What is this stay-at-home-with-the-kids bunk, when one can go directly to her daughters and hear from them that she was an attentive and loving mother throughout her very difficult acquisition of higher education and finding a job that paid enough to get out of a trailer? This sort of persecution only reveals the petty nature of her opposing party.

How many male politicians are scrutinized in this manner before taking office?  You can count them on no hands.  How many women have put their husbands through law school, I ask you? How many politician husbands have NO time for their children, much less the wives that have supported them throughout their climb to power?

Mama says that Texas has problems that perhaps only a very intelligent and driven woman such as Ms. Davis could tackle–enormous issues with poverty, weakening educational facilities and a crumbling infrastructure, not to mention untenable immigration laws, no gun control…don’t get me started.  You think I’m just a kitty but I know some things and I’m not staring at that TV set for my own pleasure!

Did you see what I just saw? Next I’ll take on INDIA!!!!!!!!

Perhaps someone who can stand up to the medieval thinking of some Republicans is just perfect for the job of governor of Texas.

Mama is a Texan and proud of many things about Texas, but at the same time, she has never been proud of the Texas laws favoring men over women, the laws governing womens’ rights, and the laws that still include capital punishment in 2014!!!

I, for one, hope Ms. Davis wins by a landslide and brings some light in the Dark Ages that still exist in one of our illustrious United States  of America.

I’ll bet there are some laws about kitties in there that she can overturn, too.

If there are, you can bet I’ll find them…
