Well, one of those grandkids ambushed me to help in the kitchen…so here I go.

Oh, I’m so sorry but tonight I have to help mama with the focaccia and the pasta and the torta di ricotta and pour everyone’s vino and so I’m taking a little break from the computer.

(Aside from the fact that possibly four adolescents will be here soon and wish to use my computer to see their Facebook info and emails, if they still use those, haha).

Meanwhile, I’m stressed over Roma playing Inter/Milan in The United States of America—can you believe that? It’s the Guiness Cup and if Roma wins tonight, they are up for the cup in the next match, if they win, that is. So all the men are in there watching the game while I slave in the kitchen!  Even mama is watching…usually the first one to turn on the game!

It’s actually quite difficult to watch the game and whip up the guacamole so I’ve asked mama to help me.

Have to go—mama’s asking me to light candles and everyone is about to arrive.

Except those on the ferry that is SEVENTY FIVE MINUTES LATE!!!

Mince!

Which means, dern.

But they’ll get here and the little ones’ beds are ready and mama even bought a silly TEDDY BEAR for her littlest grandkid…why wasn’t it a stuffed KITTY, I ask you?

I got back at her by tasting the guacamole…num, num!
