WOW, is that a real baby? Creepy….
Well, this strange little guy used to be on the streets, making us all laugh but actually making some pretty nervous with his baby body and very un-baby face! Don’t know where he went. Now there are not many like this, mainly acrobats or musicians, some good, some not, but all the funny clowns and mimes and such have not been seen for a couple of years.
Maybe they are in other parts of Rome at open markets or piazzas but…..Yesterday we had the POPE around the corner at a meeting he attended in piazza Minerva, where the little elephant stands.
Lots of peeps were out on the street waiting for him to appear to go back to the Vatican, and we spoke to a couple of police and asked the please to say “buona sera”, good evening, from us. They laughed, probably thought mama and papa were nutcakes.
But he did ride up our side street to the Minerva piazza, and it was all hush-hush and no one realized or knew that it was Pope Leone himself who would be passing by or we would have been out on the street to wave!
Such a good man. And not afraid of T in any way!!!
So that’s our Tuesday tickle. Mama saw the other pope once long ago riding by in his Popemobile and he waved at her–well, at the people crowded on the street to see him and he was only about 8 feet away!
So many surprises here…
