Well, mama has never posted pics of our wonderful Sunday open market so perhaps today is the day.
The fresh flower seller always has lovey seasonal flowers. Good prices, too.
End of summer’s amazing tomatoes (since ours ended up not growing except for a dozen San Marzanos just this week that mama had not even seen ready for picking! They were under the basil…
Lettuce from a nearby farm.
Victor (left) the amazing guitarist, the most amazing mama’s has ever heard and she has heard many — he says he loves playing at markets and doesn’t want to go to LA and be famous, which he could be, overnight.
A tee-shirt display, all by an artist who does Catalan subjects, on his cotton tees that last a lifetime.
A cheese vendor, of which there are several but this one specializes in goat cheeses. Lots of those in France…about 1500 or more..
A ‘notions’ lady who has everything you would ever want for sewing, crocheting, or anything else, even hair clips and ornaments and…get this…bobby pins!

So glad we could “walk” together a little.
That’s one thing that we will miss in the winter…the farmers markets that are so prevalent here during the summer.
Well, ours goes on all year unless there is a downpour, and they are not happening that often, alas.
I can see why you are tired, Loulou. What a display of fine wares to negotiate and narrate. The goats cheese would be our fav to try. Fresh meats too, if there.
