Most of the things that we worry so much about almost never happen the way we think they will….stay in the present and just be surprised with less stress. (Mama)
Here is the blackbird’s song that we hear every evening at this time of year. IMG_2038
It didn’t record much but it is a sweet birdie and he bathes in our garden birdbath, too.
And the fish and chips came out pretty well…wish I’d been there for a taste, haha.

Good old Heinz catsup won the toss…but mama uses English vinegar on her fishies…

It was furry windy here too. We hid under the duvet to keep warm – but We came out later, because Mummy had a delivery from the pet food shop and there were a couple of lovely new boxes! We had SUCH fun!
The fish and chips look good. At least – Mummy can have the chips, as long as She leaves the fish for Us.
We have plenty to worry about, but as long as We stick together, We can weather the Storm.
OUI OUI OUI, we must stick together and we would send you fish and chips if only we could and they would arrive edible!!!
Oooh, can you teleport those fish and chips over here?? Make sure they get here before I drown my computer!
Your blackbird, I believe is called a Merel in Dutch, no idea what the French or Italian name is, Turdus merula is the scientific name…very similar in its voice and fro the same family as our American Robin, Which is Turdus migratorius.
Oh, I looked them up and they are Merle and Mirli.
They really do sing evening lullabyes!
Oui, they are merles here and I will post a story one day that mama wrote about the merles in May.Thank you for the research!
Your mama is right about worry…but it doesn’t stop us from doing it unfortunately.
Oh, we know, we know, dear Murphy, and you definitely have companyβ¦..
I love everything about this post, Loulou. Your wise mama’s thoughts about worrying, your sweet pic and bird song. It made me smile.
So many thanks for that…mama says she has to stay in the today and enjoy every sweet moment that comes along, and there are many. The world is too much with us….
That is a sweet bird sound. If the bird had been here today, it’s tail feathers would have been blown around, the wind was so strong.
Your mama is a great cook.
HAHA, love imagining those feathers taking off. Merci for the cooking praise but mama says affer _____ so many years, she did learn something…
I don’t do fish, but the fries look good. xO
Oh, mama could get your tastebud around fish. What a challenge…
Yum, love me some fish and chips!
Brian’s Home ~ Forever
Well, we, all of us, love them but the original ones in the UK made with hake were the best. Can’t get that fish here….don’t know if it exists in the UK now. Will researvh that.
What a cheering post LouLou – lots of good things !
Oh, so glad not to address gloom and doom, but of course, it is there. Just prefer birdsong right now….
