So heron today, gone to Maui, haha.

Well, THEY finally got back and all they could talk about was the discovery of a beautiful haven for weary travellers on Maui that they found really by chance and by the grace of a lovely lady who couldn’t put them up and so turned them over to another bed and breakfast that had space.

Mama sent me photos of this paradise and I really wish she would be more considerate because there were beautiful white birdies there swooping down to the swimming pool to take a drink and they looked a lot like dinner to me….

Now that’s MY idea of breakfast at one of those places!

But it was an amazing find, mama says, and here are some shots of Maui B ‘n B, which would please anyone staying on Maui for a few days or even months.  The owners, who have become a sort of aunt and uncle to ME, told mama that some people come and stay for a month or two in the two-bedroom cottage also on the property in addition to lovely rooms.  I wish I HAD two months, but I’m a working kitty…

Mama still wishes she had made focaccia for them…they’d use that bread machine for an anchor…

All I can say is that mama and papa raved about the lovely proprietors of this hideaway (Rosiland was the first Australian woman pilot to cross the Atlantic solo among other feats on her dossier–that’s FEATS, not like paws!).  And Barrie was a first-class animator in Hollywood, New York and just about everywhere he was wanted.  His amazing animation film can be seen here.

But, of course, you can Google them at your leisure.  I did that with Garfield when I wanted to know what the big deal was about that cat!!! Well, it was worth it and now I read it every day.

To contact the Nelsons, you may email partnersusa@mac.com and they will be happy to hear from you.

Oh, to go next time with mama and papa…HAH! In my dreams.
