Well, I didn’t know her and I think she was not too partial to kitties, but mama’s mama’s birthday would have been today and she would have been over 100. WOW.

I know for sure that mama misses you all the time and that almost every day of her life she thinks of yet another marvellous thing you taught her about cooking, people, sewing, originality, making up games for kids, jokes, how to BE in the world with others and so much more. And I think you might even have liked me a little, Grandma Evelyn.

Oh, she was a pistol!! And a great cook. She made turkey stuffing for gifts at Thanksgiving for friends.

Well, let’s hope so. Cats were not her thing because of allergies, but mama was allergic until she got a CAT!!! Allergies disappeared!

OOOOH – your mama looks SOOOO much like HER beautiful mama – and I’ll bet they were very much alike – and she would have LOVED you, Loulou!!! We never get over losing our mamas – my mama has a big chicken (metal) in her kitchen because her mama collected chickens! And the chicken reminds her every day of her mom.
