Mama, don’t forget your pen…
Today mama is signing books at a nearby village for PO Life, a local publication that is WONDERFUL…so many articles by such interesting people about this region and its history and fun help with learning French through jokes and vocabulary.
It’s awfully quiet around here with all the grandkids and their mama and their partners going off to so many different places–London, Utrect, Rome, and mama’s stepdaughter is headed for Tanzania!!!!
Mama’s is going bananas over that – she fell in love with Africa years ago through books and pictures and films and has wanted to go forever but only was in South Africa and never saw the Serengheti or the wildebeest migrations or giraffes entwined or…so many other things, sigh…
Mama’s going to settle for gekkos on our warm house walls and wild birds who come in the morning to feed at their little ‘restaurant’. They’ll do for now.

I’m glad your mama is signing books. Maybe she will get to an African safari yet.
You know it’s funny…mama’s stepdaughter sent pics and she feel as if she was there! Mama, that is. A vicarious trip!
It’s a big wide wonderful and interesting world…..luckily I have seen all the things I always wanted to see….which is great because travel these days is tough AND we are too old for all the airport delays, lugging suitcases, etc. I do most of my traveling in my dreams these days!
Hugs, Pam
We know EXACTLY how you feel…especially the suitcase part….
How cool your mama is going to sign books. I love your art. XO
Well, it was fun and in a wine shop so mama had a nice one that night.
But after a while the quiet is good, no?? That makes for time to reflect on all the fun times and wonderful memories you made while they were there.
We here have to also settle for whatever comes to our feeders or the unfenced yards and fields around us. Deer, cranes, rabbits, racoons, various squirrels and groundhogs…among others. We will omit the skunks…they stunk up our house the other night when it was nice enough to open our windows…eeuuwwwww!
OH, WOW there is nothing like a skunked house or car or even outdoors sometimes…what wonderful animals you have around though…a lively life! Mama likes the smell of skunks…methel mercaptin…
How cool you got Gekkos!!!
Brian’s Home ~ Forever
YES and we are finding little babies around too.
Or the pyramids or the Sphinx or the lovely elephants – but Mama has had her share of adventures and is probably having another one today. And now it is much easier to see close up views of all those places and animals, without the heat and flies. We are going to check out your link here too.
Merci, mama’s stepdaughter’s photos of elephants and a lioness and all sorts of things are enough to make her happy and not want to travel.
Congratulations, paws up … on your book signing!
Mercy buckup and it was fun. A great wine shop that just opened and oh, boy, do they have some winners!
