NO, NOT SOCCER.  SOCCA!!! Well, mama is still mad about this giant pancake called socca and so she went to the source at Chez Pipo in Nice and watched the expert socca maker do his thing.  First a big copper pan, then olive oil smeared over the surface, then batter poured into the pan and tilted around to cover the surface, then the socca popped into 400C...
