Well, finally!!! Our favorite soccer team is numero uno; you know, the one I watch with mama and papa every week that last year did not do so well with the old footsies….
But NOW. WOW! Out of 9 shots there were 6 on target and out of those, five goals!! That’s not chopped liver, as we kitties say. Those guys are amazing. Gervinho, Florenzi, Benatia, and Ljajic, a new wonder who is very young but I think could be another Totti (my hero…swoon….).
I wonder if Totti likes kitties…hmmmm.
I am fully aware that it’s weird that a kitty likes soccer, but I could sit there on mama’s lap for hours watching those hunky guys kick that ball around. I don’t like the fouls, though, because I feel that to just to play the game is foremost and that sometimes, fouls are simply frustration at not being able to score or sometimes, just plain mean and meant to take a player out of the game. Fie on those guys who do that!! A “tactical” foul, as papa calls it, still makes mama irritated because she feels that if you play the game with the best of your skills (Barcelona is a good example), your fouls will be few and far between.
So…that’s my take on soccer matches and I’m really excited about the Inter-Roma game this weekend.
Be sure to root for the right team–those guys in their red and yellow suits or sometimes black or white. Oh, forget it, those guys that are so, so pretty!
Oh, I forgot to mention that at the beginning of each game, they show the guys in their locker room…oh, boy!
