Yay yay, papa’s eyeball is DONE and he is looking all around at thingsand saying “Wow wow”…not like a doggy, just making wowing sounds at the world.
Beautiful sun, too bright for papa’s eye today but he has cool shades for the glare. Mama is making him a birthday lunch of Asparagi Bismarck, poached eggs on sautéed as-per-grass (as a friend calls it), so delicious and tonight spaghetti with salmon “caviar”…salmon eggs NOT from Russia…
Mama and papa will celebrate next Saturday with all the family, some in school and some working, so weekends are visiting times.

He is in top form but a bit tired. Long operation…for cataracts, that is. Most are so quick.

That IS a huge shelter! Is the fenced area a run for kitties, or for people to watch all the cats?
Only to protect the excavation, which has been going on for years (!) but also to keep people out…they can go in at the entrance with an appointment. But the kitties can come up to the fence and often lie there waiting for treats.
OMC, your papa’s birthday meals sound wonderful!!!
Well, it was, except mama forgot to put away the pasta last night, haha. They’ll have a bit for lunch today.
The Hubby has plans for his cataracts just as soon as he gets his teeth back in working order.
Did I know that he had two bad toofs?!? NOPE, not until a few days ago when he mentioned that he can’t drink hot coffee.
Anyhoo, good news that your Dad’s eyes are doing well.
Oh, boy, get those toofs working! Do men just not mention things??? DO have the cataracts fixed…it is two weeks between operations, mama thinks but your doc will tell you. So magical when it’s over. Mama came home, looked at her ORANGE shoes and saw that they were PINK….she still wears them….
