Shame on America.
I am sick at heart over the senseless shootings, once again, in our country.
How did these people get their weapons? Where did they get their body armor? What kind of monsters would attack a center for the handicapped?
When on God’s green earth will the government make laws against gun possession? What is Obama doing about these tragedies? Is he really not aware that this has to be handled severely and NOW?
In Bob Dylan’s words,
How many deaths will it take till he knows that too many people have died?
Our heads are in the sand of a battlefield. GUNS KILL. That is what they are for. When will we wake up and control these weapons?

We live in Australia and each time there’s a shooting we feel so bad for all the innocent people which get affected. It sure seems to be a big mess, getting guns out of people’s hands. *sigh*

Dear Pepi–We in America must try to do what the Australians did to curb weapons. But I think we have too many red-neck gun-happy people to really change things unless stern laws are passed and the Congress BLOCKS anything Mr. Obama wishes to do. Sad. Nice to meet you, too!
Oh LouLou we too hate all da killings. But guns and tougher gun laws is not da answer. Cwiminals will always get guns no matter da laws. and it’s da peeps behind da guns dat be doin’ da killin’ in da furst place. Yes, we are from da South and luv our right to bear arms. We don’t want to lose dat right any more thhan we wanna lose da right to furee speech. Sumfin’ fur sure needs to be done, but “gun laws” is not da answer. Hope you have a gweat weekend.

Well, mama is a Texan and she was TAUGHT how to use a gun and how NOT to use a gun, which most idiots who point guns at people were NOT taught, and what she wants is longer background checks and not allowing everyone and his mother to own a semi-automatic weapon. We do not need semi-automatic weapons to hunt. And a semi can be turned into an automatic with just a few tweaks from the gun store!!! Hunters have rights. But killers do NOT.

Oh, Lou Lou – it has gone beyond terrible. The President is powerless in the face of the inaction of the Congress who seem to be controlled by the NRA and far more interested in their political future than in the deaths over and over again of innocent people. Now all the dialogue is about mental health issues which need help to be sure but it still does nothing about the astonishing number of guns in America. We need to stand up as a people and demand action.
A gun kills a person every 16 minutes. Can you imagine? I’m still trying to think of a solution.
So sad for the horrors so many faced yesterday. And for the loved ones lost.
Unbelievable. What a Congress who stops every move to outlaw guns and not let the NRA lobby all the time for guns, guns, guns. Obama can do nothing with a Republican congress.
