This was supposed to be in here several days ago, mama! But I forgive you. Packing can be disorienting…
*****
We are so excited and thankful that two friends will be here today, one from our little village and he brother from Honolulu who has never been to ROME!! And mama and papa are leaving in two days…oh, well.
Our friend from Honolulu is in for a surprise, that’s for sure.
Thanks to all of you, every Thursday. It’s a given. You enrich our lives so much.
And thanks for this lovely city—here are a few more Rome shots.

Vegetables for a hotel outside the kitchen

One of the most lovely piazzas in Roma, Santo Ignazio. Great restaurant at the end of the street that starts here: Il Buco, a family-owned and one of the best trattorie in Rome.

Via Margutta, a street of galeries and lovely inner courtyards.

A fountain of tragedy and comedy faces…mama has always loved it.

Piazza del Popolo…with two identical churches at the first part of it.

Enjoy your time with your friends!
Oh, we do, we do. Friendship moments are so special.
Your mama must enjoy her lovely visitors, Loulou! And then safe travels back.
We are here safe and sound, despite the 156 tunnels…removing cataracts helped driving 100%!
So so long ago we roamed (ROME-ed??) the streets and found beautiful little restaurants and artwork and people. I’m sure packing up to come home is sad but as they say “there’s no place like home” !
Hugs, Pam
SO true, so true….
Rome is amazing, your friend will love it. I’m glad you are getting to see the friends before it’s time for you to go home.
How is your cat friend from up the street doing these days?
Well, Mr Rasta will let us know how he is in a couple of days. We miss him but our friends house-sat and took care of him when he appeared, which is exactly when he wishes. Such a cat.
Love the colors in the art, as well as all the pictures of Rome, π cool!
Merci, we’ll put more pics on the blog soon.
Nice art. Have fun with your friend and her brother. XO
We had a lovely time and we left today and they went off on a Jump on and Off bus that takes one around the city to places you specify and you get off and see things and then get back on for more. A great way to see the monuments.
