Oh, the things we do for love. I think I stayed on mama’s lap about a gazillion hours that day.
Below is a darling photo that Mya’s mama sent me and I hope the photographer doesn’t mind if I send it out for you to see. There was no name on it and I thought you’d like it. That sweet little doggy really has a nice papa, no? Hey, nothing worse than a soaking wet dachshund, right?
Stretching out on mama’s lap is my favourite thing…or sleeping between the knees. I think it’s good for my arthritis, whatever that is.

These days, snuggles are just about the best antidote for ANYTHING stressful.
I wish my human would umbrella my doggie minion, Bessie, when they walk in the rain, too, so she doesn’t splash waters & muds on my furrs when they return home. Like you, I enjoy stretching out & resting under scratches. I find it. Say, Loulou, do you scratches on the head more than chin scratches?
I LOVE CHIN SCRATCHES but best of all is when mama does my ears in the morning. THAT’S the best. Next to tummy rubs, that is.

They do it each year. Yes, very sweet if one is religious or maybe just to visit for the fun of it.

ooooh, Loulou, your snuggles are so sweet!!! Much more graceful than mine, when I plunk down and roll over. You need to teach me a few graceful cat-moves. I’ll let you play with Octopoulpe and ride in my stroller!! We doggies are a bit rambunctious (is that a real word?) – but our motives are pure. Mama is looking over my shoulder and saying – “I know your motives – cuteness and snuggles for kibbles”. She has a point…….

It has been chilly here the last few days, LouLou – perfect snuggling weather. No rain though We (NE Ohio) are officially in a drought. It’s supposed to be back 70-80 F this week.
