Think I’ll check out that fluffy over there….

Yep, this’ll be FUN…

Garden news.

Sage that doubled during the heat!
Oh, boy, it’s hot again, just when we thought cool weather was for good, but mama is thrilled and wants a little more summer in our lives. At least we have sage, San Marzano tomatoes on ONE little bush, LOTS of cherry tomatoes and a huge plant of basil that really must be harvested and made into something we can freeze for winter.

Pesto, I guess, but mama would love to have suggestions for storing basil for cold weather. Merci for those ideas…
Off to kick back and cloud-hop, one of my favorite pasttimes.
Well, this one was comfy so I just took a break…

Nice that the garden is still producing!
Oui but mama worries about leaving it so long without being sure of the care-gardener….
Your mama’s garden is looking good, Loulou, and there you are fitting right in being as cool as a cucumber.
OOOhhh…cool as a cuke is so nice.
Somewhere I read that you can freeze individual basil leaves in ice cubes, to be ready later after thawing them…not sure if it was to freeze in water, or in olive oil. You may want to check in with Mr Google!
Mercy buckup…mama might try that but meanwhile, she has frozen pesto and that seems to work pretty well. Mr Google will help, thank you for that, he has become a good friend and advisor on food storage!
It must be a nice problem to have each year at harvest, so much you aren’t sure what to do with it. I hope it lasts you the whole winter through, however you end up storing it.
Merci and mama wishes she could mail some to YOU.
Nice cloud shot. Glad the garden is still doing well. XO
Me, too. I don’t have to oversee it so often….
We love to see Mama’s gardens (we love sage, for one thing)
Oh how we would love to send you half of this humongous plant!
That sage is amazing and hooray for yummy fresh cherry tomatoes!
Brian’s Home ~ Forever
Have to get mama to pick them today. She leaves them on their litte stems and just eats them fresh off the stem at meals.
