I stare, you stare, he, she, it stares, we stare, you stare, they stare…that about covers everyone.
Well, last night, after papa (rudely, with maliciousness thought about ahead of time) pushed me over onto mama’s leg to conk out, I started staring at mama, and don’t ask me why we kitties stare at something, but at least this was a real object, mama, that is, and not some unknown (to others) spirit, fairy, angel, imagined character, etc. that we kitties can conjure up so easily.
I stared and stared.
Mama was reading.
I kept staring.
Mama started jiggling, fidgeting, looking a bit uncomfortable, saying, “Loulou, what on earth are you staring at?” Heck, did I know? I just stared.
BUT…my eyes started closing a little…my paw dropped…
…and finally…
Zonk! Hey, I knew where I was going the whole time. It’s you anthros who get nervous with the stare steps!

Well I think staring is one of our best ways of keeping our humans just a LITTLE off balance. Keeps them wondering – and if we cats are supposed to maintain our reputation for being INTERESTING CREATURES then staring is a necessity – especially if it names our humans wonder what the heck we’re looking at. My favorite “stare” is when I look up at the ceiling and Mom and Dad do the same and see NOTHING. Tee Hee….I love it when I confuse them a bit!

Oh, thank you, but do you have trouble commenting? I can fix that on WordPress but it shouldn’t happen! And I cannot comment on your blog!!! I have tried three times. I said, “We love your blog and will take a gander at it when you blog, we will not duck our responsibility.” Then we push ‘publish’ and get an error message. We refresh the page and nothing happens.
