Well, today we’re having a scat Sat, just for fun, with Ella and Mel…
Mama says this will date her, not as in have a date, haha, but make her look OLD. Still. we’re trying to find some fun things to blog about that lift our spirits and Ella Fitzgerard certainly lifted a LOT of those.
Have a fat scat Sat and do a little scat yourself…it’s fun and you don’t need anyone to do it with, haha. Maybe I’ll get together a couple of scat cats up here and see what we come up with…

Scat, done right, does lift the spirits. When Phil Harris was doing The Jungle Book, he was supposed to hop in there with King Louie and start singing, but he forgot the lyrics and started to scat. Louis Prima, a master of scat as well, gave it back to him and they decided to keep it, they did so well.
Mama is looking them up and remembers The Jungle Book somewhere in her vast memory of that time.
I like listening to it, but I won’t try to sing. 🙂 XO
