They are diving here like kamakazees (probably spelled that wrong) but they are getting BOLD!! Maybe they’re hungry?!
Well, doves are sweet creatures but they do squeak when landing.
And YES – we have one who is laying eggs in the tree in front of our window in the living room!

That resembles what over here is known as a mourning dove. What do you call it ? (I mean – what is its official birdie name, not what you probably call it…)
It is called a tourterelle, a pretty name, no? And yes, mama knows mourning dove.
The mourning dove is named for its haunting and sad cooing sound. Its call is sometimes mistaken for the call of an owl. When the mourning doves flies, its wings make a whistling sound. That is straight out of google, mama’s guru for fun facts.
The sound, for mama, is always a harbinger of a visit to our terrace, haha, for crackers crumbs, and to torment me.
