Pre-Santa

I’m sneakin’ up on holidays just as holidays are sneakin’ up on ME!

Well, it’s just around the corner.  You know, chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost (whoever he is) nipping at your nose.  He’d better not touch my nose, as it is very sensitive and any nose touching around here will be done by mama or papa or whoever is on my list for nose-rubbing.  Mornings are best for nose-rubs, I find, along with head butts.

But I digress.

That sometimes disturbing season is almost upon us and I have a few street snaps of what’s ahead, just to start warming your cockles, whatever they are.

These are lights being strung on the little vias of Rome…always blue, every year, go figure.  Mama thinks it’s because the…er…organized members of a certain group… sell blue lights and that’s it.  They sell ’em, you buy ’em.

And this is a soap store with all sorts of colored and flavoured soaps.  Unfortunately, when you pass by, you almost pass out from the smell!  Oh, well, they’re very pretty, that’s for sure.  Of course, soap and I do not get along really well…

But, get these teddy bear mannequins!  Sort of like Pooh goes Mod.  I wonder if men anthros will buy those suits!

Well, that’s a little preview of more to come.  When the musicians from the Abuzzo come in with their sheepskin bagpipes, I’ll try to get a video and post it.  I love the bagpipes.

UH, OH, there’s a man in a cage outside our window putting up what looks like a string of BLUE LIGHTS!  Hope the street is paying for them, because we are definitely NOT!
