Praise for the Milanesi

It’s just too schizophrenic around here in the morning.

Yesterday I read that the mayor of Milan was giving shelter, clothes and food to immigrants and allowed them to continue camping out in Milan’s railway station used during Mussolini’s reign to ship human cargo to Hitler’s camps. An uplifting turnaround for that station from which so many went to their deaths and now, used for those seeking a better, safer life.

And then, today, I hear mama and papa talking with grief about the 90 people blown up during a peaceful demonstration in Istanbul.

Don’t these guys have anything else to DO in their lives? What is this blowing up of one’s own body if not a terrible aberration of the human spirit and brain. This way of thinking has to be taught, just like the song from South Pacific. One is not born with it.

Why do these teachings prevail? Why is ISIS so attractive to young people? And why on earth don’t the leaders of countries, specifically in the Middle East, concentrate on the education of their citizens so that there is some hope in their futures instead of barely surviving day to day. No wonder ISIS looks good to some poor, uneducated youths who have had no way out of the very miserable lives they have led since they were born.

So sad.

And here, the bright gold chrysanthemums bloom and give their magical root protection to their fellow plantings. Here, the sun is in its autumn mood, but still warm on the schiste walls of the vineyards. Here, two small sailboats rock in a gentle sea, and tourists stroll along the passerelle, the pathway around our protective and lovely chateau. Here, doggies are walked sweetly in the evening instead of being on a menu. Here, people say bonjour in the streets to perfect strangers, and no one is strapped with explosives to end innocent lives.

I wish I knew how to get this world to change so that anthros would be more inspired to create rather than destroy.

But what can a lowly kitty do?

I think about these things all the time. Maybe I’ll come up with something one day. Any ideas?

Yes, we just purr and hope one day, humans act more like us cats.

A little kitty can gaze at the golden chrysanthemums & purr. That’s the best thing to do, always.

There’s no fathoming apes really.
