Miracolo!

I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE BETER, PAPA!

Well, papa is feeling really good!  He went to a doc for an epidural yesterday,  and a young man was the patient before papa and was on crutches, wincing in pain and he went into the doc and mama said that 20 minutes later he came out and tossed his crutches to his girlfriend and left with a big smile on his face!

Then papa went in and mama sat there in the waiting room, miss nervous Nellie, and tried to concentrate on a magazine with photos of actors and actresses on vacation (do we care?) and fiddled with her iPhone and had major jitters for 30 minutes and then there was papa (we should have a PHOTO, mama!) with a big “thumbs up” walking upright and painless down the corridor from the doctor’s epidural room and smiling an even bigger smile than the crutches kid!

Mama said, “Wow, we must be in LOURDES!” but of course they weren’t, they were just with a really astute doctor who found a little cyst pushing into papa’s spinal column on one side and the original hernia pushing from the other side and so the doc said, “Hey, I can do an injection and blow it up but it might hurt a bit” and papa said “Blow away” and when mama told me this I thought “Did they use dynamite?”

SO…long story short–papa is feeling REALLY GOOD!!!

And that makes us all, friends and family, feel really good.

(And of course now he’s able to snuggle me better…)
