Well, happy maman’s, mama’s, mother’s, mamma’s, madre’s,母亲Mǔqīn’s DAY to all mothers.
Mothers never really get their due, it seems, and if there were a list of what they do all day, oh, boy, it would take up volumes! Maybe there should be an Encyclopedia of Mothers’ Contributions to the World. Think of all the good recipes, mama says, haha.
Mama really misses her mama. She was a pistol, mama says, and full of fun. An unusual mama and my mama says that a day doesn’t go by that my mama doesn’t think of all the knowledge her mama gave her.
She was allergic to kitties, however, but I know she wouldn’t have any trouble with me. I’m sure of that.

ooooh – I miss my Mamma TOO – but if she were alive, I would still be in New Orleans!! She loved ALL animals and was full of fun, too. She used to tell stories about her visits to the hair sslon – (Chantilly’s) where the women would go to Bud Rip’s Bar next door – ad bring back booze! Hilarious stories – and one day her neighbor fell off the bar stool – but no problem!

Uh, WE did, even though I am not a mama and mama is a stepmama. Confusing, no? But we celebrated mamas everywhere.
The Hubby and I visited my mother on Saturday; The Hubby hadn’t seen her in over a year and a half! The Hubby lost his mother when he was still a boy, and that’s awfully sad. I would have liked to have met her. I visit her grave from time to time, however.
Oh, how terrible to lose your mama so young! Hugs to your Hubby and ypi.
