Well, l’arbousier est coupé! The strawberry tree has a really lovely haircut and I shall keep a record of how it develops. I’m pretty sure that he will branch out, haha, as spring approaches.
Meanwhile, I supervised everything, of course, and made sure that mama kept some of the little twigs from our (dead!) hedge for starting fires in the fireplace. We have more winter ahead, I hear, sigh…
But today, GLORIOUS weather and because of so many limbs gone, there are sun puddles all over the garden in which to bask.

Looks like the strawberry tree got a very nice haircut! I bet it will come back fuller and with even MORE strawberries to go “splat” on your patio! Tee Hee

Well, someone around here has to oversee jobs. To get them done correctly, anyway.
They are trimming trees HERE too!! Our orange trees are now shaped into pretty ovals and we keep seeing trees without leaves because they’ve been cut! But Mamma says it’s for the better – the yard in front of the appartment is much prettier! Maybe they were waiting for the baby birds to leave their nests?
Ooh, that is so sweet. Flown the coop! Here the trees are cut, too, and they are like sculptures.
