Well, not a broad, actually, but a female feline. Just wanted to make a funny, haha. I WROTE those people and I certainly expect a missive back before they return! Here is my letter:
Bonjour Mama et Papa
I’m sorry I missed your call to me on Sunday – I was probably having my siesta. This is me watching a nature programme on tv – lots of weird animals & BIRDS! Yum yum. It’s still hot here but Sue’s friend, Peta, has lent her a sun lounger very comfy – I haven’t let her use it yet.
We are now waiting for Valerie who Sue says should have been here by now – so I’ve had to go upstairs earlier than usual – poo.
Talking of which, I’m very well & staying up quite late – while M & P away the cat will play – do you know this rhyme? I changed it a bit, of course.
I miss you and know that you miss me
but I’ll keep in touch & hope you’re having fun.

Oh, I hope your humans won’t be away from you too long! Is the petsitter taking good care of you & answering your every whims? Maybe your humans will bring you back handmade kitty treats & wares from their travels!
My humans are probably wondering why they are crying every day and not seeing my furry little self in every room….I think they are miserable so maybe they WILL bring treats.

Well, I had to give in and write but now she’ll expect them all the time!
Tee-hee – And when they get back, play it full steam – the guilt thing. That’s what i do with papà and it works every time. They’ll be gone an hour and I get treats when they come back! Mama sees through my drama, but it’s ok. I still get a few kibbles for my “misery”. Maybe you could drop hints for delicious treats – catnip sorbet? Focaccia of mouse? Something special….

I think the size of the screen was enhanced by a fisheye lens on the camera, haha.
