The String Game, Revisited
(Notice, I made the print the same color as my ribbon, or…don’t notice)
WHAT’S THIS?
Well, when mama starts me off with a nice purple satin ribbon, with which I am having a VERY good time, and then switches it to raffia, I’m not at all happy. Raffia, indeed, when I’ve graduated to satin! Purple, at that.
But, seriously, folks, this is the only really interesting thing I play with, and so it matters to me what is used for the bait. Maybe if she tied a piece of beef jerky to the ribbon…hmm, I think I have something here. Is there jerky for kitties? I think there is. Okay mama, get creative!
Could you please REMOVE this raffia thing and get my ribbon back?
You know, I try to be adaptable and flexible, as mama says you have to be as you age, but hey, there are SOME things you just don’t mess with, right?
Mama says if I’m not able to change with the changes around me, I’ll become an old f…t, whatever that is. Whatever it is, she doesn’t want to become one….

Please help Holly with your good thoughts. She has had almost 17 years of lovely life and now it is a bit difficult for her and her family.

Loulou, I understand the fave toy thing. We get attached. And we like things as they are. Mama put all my Ikea pals in the washing machine a couple of weeks ago – and they’re just NOT the same. They smell all perfumey and the grunge is gone. Anthros just don’t get it. Do what I do – pout and sulk until you get what you want!! Works every time.
YES, P and S, works all the time. Today papa opened the door for me and of course, I did not go out. Is he nuts? And so he PUSHED me with his JACKBOOTS (whatever they are–he doesn’t have any I’m sure) to get me out the door. Mama saw it and said, “Loulou, papa only gave you a little nudge with his toe!” They just don’t see things the same way as we. Washed your toys? Oh, boy.
I will pray for Holly. You need your ribbon back, it is elegant like you.

I think I found it under the covers but I’m not talkin’. A little guilt dosn’t hurt THEM.
