Still can’t figure it out.
Well, I need help. My WordPress gurus are far away but maybe one of them can advise me when I wish to put in a code for a blog hop, for example:

So that is the code. Now what? I looked on my widget page but couldn’t find anywhere to paste this code and publish it for one blog’s worth! And mama is no help at all…
Okay, okay, I know we can find the answer on our other guru’s site…Google.
…Looking for anyone smarter than mama, haha.
I’m taking notes. Let’s go.

I don’t know if this code will show up in comments, but you’ve got the wrong code. You have to click on GET THE CODE, then a box with the above code will show up. It does take a bit of time to get the hang of it but once you do it’s easy.

Well, that wouldn’t be MY Mama – and I’m just a doggie, so fingers and paws crossed!!! BUT will ask Papa – he’s good at computer stuff – ! But I have a feeling he doesn’t know either….. Mama’s got a HUGE painting to do, so that will keep her busy. Hopefully…….

You need to switch from visual to text ( right above where you write the post). Then click on code (it is listed across the top, then copy and paste the code you want in and click on code again.

When you’re writing a blog post in WordPress you need to select the Text Option and copy and paste in as text. If you are using the new Gutenberg editor pick Custom HTML and paste it in there. Hope that helps.
Thank you, Brian, but I do not use the new Gutenberg as I liked the old system better. Maybe I should switch….
