Today we can only send hope that Australia’s fires will subside and that the inhabitants will find safe havens in which to wait until the devastating fires are under control.
We have seen terrible videos of what is happening and there appears to be no end in sight as the rains do not begin for some time. But perhaps this time they will come early since weather everywhere appears to be unpredictable.
Mama says that in Texas during terrible droughts pilots used to “seed” the clouds to make it rain. I wonder if that could be done to start the country’s wet season?
Courage, Australia. We are all very affected by what is happening to your beautiful land.
And hope beyond hope for the poor animals who are suffering so.
But we have heard that attempts at animal rescue are being made by several organizations. There are many valid organizations in this link through which one can help, if at all possible.
Those poor lil’ tree bears. I hear many have gone OTRB as a result of the fires. I wish I could send some of our O-R-E Gon rain to Australia.

So devastating, Loulou. My heart breaks for all the animal and human suffering. My friend lives in Sydney and tells me it’s the worst fires she’s ever seen in Australia.

So many beautiful animals have died in these horrible fires. We saw a map last night on the news and the fires are ALL OVER Australia. Something serious has got to be done about climate change and everyone is going to have to do their part. It won’t be easy, but if we want to save the planet for future doggies and kitties (and humans), we had all better get on board. Mya’s rant for the morning.
