Control Freaks

Can you believe this? THE I o T, INTERNET OF THINGS!

Well, this morning papa explained to me that there are inventions happening in our civilization that enables an anthro to simply push a button (or whatever) and have his garage open, his windows open or close, his bacon start frying, his washing get washed, his TV start up, his house phone (if anyone still uses them!) turn off, his shoes shined, his pasta boiled and just about anything else he or she wishes to control with a small object.  Well, “things” covers a lot of ground.

Sort of like Siri or maybe more like Alexa, to whom one can speak and get music played or information or whatever Alexa seems to know to tell you. But I’m not sure about any of these things yet, and if they are only for anthros, then why not have them for kitties and doggies, etc.

With one push of the paw, we could turn off our anthros when they are chatting too loudly or yelling at us to come in from outside or after we have pulled all the pantyhose out of a drawer–things like that.

Plus we could have this thing open our food cans and packages and place the contents carefully in pretty little dishes for our dining pleasure!

Oh, the possibilities are endless...

Now, where do I get one of these?

Soon.

I’m going to think up some more things it can do for us, okay? Like hide our medicines…and toe clippers, haha,

Loulou, if you find one of those gadgets that spews out treats on command, let’s get our orders out!!!! Can you imagine!? And here’s a good invention idea – a collar that sprays mace at offending dogs! 2 nights ago a rottweiller (on a leash) was lunging at me – from the other side of the sidewalk! Then, if that wasn’t bad enough, yesterday, the neighbor’s yorkie in the building next door attacked me! She wasn’t on a leash – and papa grabbed and shook her before handing her back to the owner. I was unscathed, but giggled at her brief humiliation. Gadgets – the wave of the future.

The Internet of Things will be a wondrous thing, one day… but with the lack of deep security it wont be here any time soon * sigh *

Well, LouLou, there ARE automated cat feeders. — but they are mostly concerned with portion control. so a kitty cannot graze all day or eat more than their DIET calls for.

I see you had a comment yesterday that said some of the “combi boilers” don’t get enough air for proper combustion, and that could be VERY dangerous, producing carbon monoxide. Do you have a CO2 alarm as ell as a smoke detector ?

Meowmy Carry has an Alexa and we can meow to it. It meows back and we have a long conversation sometimes. We think that maybe there is actually a cat trapped inside Alexa but we can’t work out how to break her out of there.
