WHAT??? You’re going back to your studio to WORK? MIRACOLO!!!
Well, FINALLY, after artist’s block surfaced a few weeks ago, mama has pushed on through to the other side (Jim Morrison, thanks for that), and waylaid papa into going into her studio and looking at some art that MAY or MAY NOT work in the upcoming expo she is having with Mya’s maman.
Only a gazillion things to look at and every piece she showed to papa made it clear to her that there is work to be done. For example, some of the art has writing on it in ITALIAN! And we are NOT in Italy and so papa said, Oh, just do it over and put it in French.
Oh, yeah, mama said?

She’ll be waking up tomorrow morn at 3am, I’m sure (and I’ll know it because I’m sleeping ON her) and thinking, Just do it OVER? There lies MADNESS.
But, then, she’ll probably just do it over, haha. Eventually. But eventually could be too late! The saga continues….
I mean, seriously, folks, would you have these squid on the wall in YOUR kitchen? Maybe mama should stick to kitty drawings…
Mama things like this? But does anyone know that she is fanning herself with mizuna? Does anyone know mizuna? Mama didn’t either until someone wanted a drawing of it! Oy, the future ought to be full of surprises….
Oh, lordy, mama is actually headed toward her studio—with a PEN in her hand!!! Hallelujah.

Oh I luv those squids your momma has drawn & the pretty colors! It reminds me of a kraken from a dream. Say, is a mizzen like a piece of lettuce, Loulou, ’cause lettuce kind of looks like a fan, too. Does your momma have pretty long red hair like her drawing? Purrs!
NO, that’s not mama and she wishes she had long red hair, but hers is sort of butterscotch or maybe just sort of Parmesan with a little Cognac in it. Whatever they are.

I think the squids would look great on a shower wall (or curtain). I’m glad you told me what Mama was fanning herself with: I thought it was half a cabbage.
Ha, ha, that’s a good one. Half a cabbage! That was just a mama drawing, not mama, and it was done for Gourmet Magazine for an article on mizuna.
Mama (and I) LOVE these drawings – and So What if some of it’s in Italian!!?? Hey, we all cook pasta and pizza and know a few phrases! And mizuna? Tell people it’s large leaves of mache – or baby spinach YES – people will want these on their walls (in groupings of several) – or even printed on fancy dish towels or fabric. These are WONDERFUL!
Oh, you are such a fan, Mya, and I really appreciate this because mama is TOTALLY bananas over what to shoe and what to toss and she was looking through her portfolio from the last show and someone had TAKEN a drawing!!!! Grrrrr
Well DARN – That is really LOW. But on the positive side, if somebody steals ART (rare, I would think!) they must have really wanted it – meaning – it will SELL!! Mama is convinced. Me too!!!
