FED EX DID NOT SHOW UP??? What’s the world coming to?
You’re not going to believe this. Mama and papa were off trying to do some very serious admin for getting a long-term visa to stay in France and all was well and they called Fed Ex to pick up something very time-sensitive and guess who did not pick up (begins with F) and so they are frantic to get these docs to the French office that will give them their visa, but the docs, not having been picked up and delivered, are somewhere in postal space and may or may not EVER show up.
My advice to both of them was, “Hey you two, I’ll let up on my complaints about you not being here and you two just enjoy the remaining time you have with friends AWAY from here (well, 4 hours away, not exactly an extended journey) and don’t give it a thought and just trust in the gods and inshallah to you both right now. I did hear that eating out in that place you all met your sis-in-law was not exactly gourmet heaven and that when you finally got to that NICE place, Nice, the food was wonderful, so maybe you are having a good time after all instead of worrying every day about lost documents.
What a life anthros have. I never lose my documents. They are with me at all times, right in my little kitty brain and if I had to send them somewhere to get notarized (whatever that is) or confirmed or affirmed or accounted for, I’d be up you know what’s creek! Thank heaven kitties do not have to do these weird things that anthros do. At any rate, they’ll take me along to wherever it is they are going provided there is a nice place for me to do my thing. Ooooh My mama feels your pain!!! After years of hair-pulling-screaming-hissy-fits with the admin thing, she finally got french citizenship. Now she would probably have to blow up a building or something to get kicked out!! This is happiness. It will work out. But Toi et Moi – we are TRULY french!!! Born and raised. I even have my european union passport passport (have had for years!) and it even has my glamour shot in it. Hmmmm, Loulou, does this mean we can VOTE????
YES, and vote for my anthros to stay put right now! As for blowing things up, could you ask your mama to start with the admin buildings! Boy, they said they had a time with your mama and papa. And I know how mama fawns over you, you little devil, pretending to cotton to mama and put your little paws in her lap and all that wiley stuff you do. But it’s okay, we’re friends.
Oh, dear. Perhaps a glass of wine for the frazzled humans? We hope it all works out for them.
Hey, a glass of SOMETHING. The only problem with that is that mama can’t drink much anymore without getting a headache. I think admin is the cause, not the scotch!

Oh. Around here when you pay for shipping FedEx and UPS hand it over to the post office, so it just gets stuck in the mailbox, whether you paid $7.95 or got free shipping. Although if I were applying for a visa (not a VISA,I have one of THOSE but it won’t even get me into Canada)or a passport, I might be more worried than if it is some cat mysteries from the Big Book Place. So I hope your anthros can get things unravelled by their deadline – Are they back with you yet ?
