Hot Dogs

I mean, is this doggy cute or WHAT? Even I fell for this one.

Well, I’ve been thinking. This little ville of mine is full of some of the cutest, most friendly, most interesting doggies you will ever see. Maybe because so many are here on vacation and everyone is very relaxed, including their canines (I mean their doggies, not their teeth) and so most of the doggies we see are just dying to be noticed and petted and talked to in that cootchy coo doggy lingo that mama sometimes gets into:

“Ah, que c’est gentile!” “Ah, c’est belle (or beau) votre adorable chien!” “Ah, j’adore le Jack Russell. Tres intelligent!.” Oh, yeah?

That one puts me off a bit. Jack Russell indeed. Nervous Nellies, always ratting around looking for something that only they know about. But still, I’ve some JR friends I love dearly, since mostly they are on their backs waiting for a rub, but total STRANGERS? I ask you, is that proper?

But…it is finally a semblance of summer’s beginning and so if mama feels she has to go out walking to pet and coo over doggies, so be it.

I’ll just stick with Sarah next door in our neighbor’s yard and torment her as much as possible just by being.  That’s when I know summer has truly begun!

But seriously, folks, the doggies around here are so, so cute and I do not hold it against mama if she wants to oogle tea cup Chihuahuas and Yorkies (galore! Every other French family has a Yorkie for some reason. Probably because they are easy upkeep and small. Good travelers. Not much to clean up, haha!

Well, there’s a man around here with his kitty on a leash and I, for one, am going out to find him and go gaga over his whatever it is so that mama will know she is not the ONLY oogler in town.
