I am so flattered that our friend, Anne, did such a dreamy me.
Oh, boy, am I lucky and so very touched, too, by a gift from the mama of Mya, my doggy friend.
Little Mya, so sweet a friend
A mama who just happens to be an exceptional painter and who gave mama and papa a small portrait of yours truly that made mama cry when she saw it.
I’m sharing it with you tonight and not writing a long missive this time because mama and papa had a party today to celebrate the New Year and it’s sort of an annual thing, a tradition, and since we had all just returned two days ago from another place, we were all pretty tired after the
fête and so all of us really want only to go to bed early and get out to the market tomorrow because the only thing we have in the house is the leftover party food (a big of salmon that, I am sure, THEY really do not want and will certainly think of SOMEONE in this house who might want it), of which there is very little, a few eggs and some lettuce. I know that’s a long sentence, a run-on, actually, but what the heck.
So I am only going to put the lovely painting she did of me on this blog to share with all of you. Such a wonder.
Her works are amazing. She is also incredibly good at doing “old masters” and giving them a little tongue in cheek twist (see below).
I mean, is this a good painter, or what? All with a brush and oils, no photos, no air brush, only talent.
So good night, and happy Saturday-after-the-New-Year. I shall be back tomorrow with all sort of ideas for what we kitties can do in 2016 to help the world go round smoothly.
