Well, grazie for following mama and papa all over the place while they toodle around Rome and see family and discover new wonderful things even after 40 years of toodling! I used to be with them and loved looking out of my window at birdies and students coming out of school at midday and policemen standing outside of their offices doing pretty much nothing, haha.
We are thankful for what mama feels is the most beautiful city in the world and the people who live here are so nice and the markets are incredibly beautiful and the art is amazing and the churches are magnificent, but the wobbly cobblestones (hey, they are hundreds of years old, okay?) can be a bit challenging…we walk slowly, at least they do. I just check out the pedestrians and hope to help them not stumble and I guess it’s like being on a boat or ship — you get your sea legs. Here you get your san pietrini legs, haha.
And mama is thankful that she can include a little bit of history in her blog, often learning it for the first time herself!
And we are always thankful for you and you and you…..and your comment and blogs and knowledge and funnies and delightful observations of this weird world. Getting weirder…but there is a heckuva guy in Virginia who is putting together an independent group of very strong and smart people (Bernie Sanders included) to try to get our country back on track. Keep an eye on Joe Manchin…who knows?
He may have started the way to repair so many broken parts of both parties.
