NO CAT-ARACTS!
Donc, mama, you FORGOT Wednesday so thank heaven it’s wordless haha. You were putting drops in papa’s eye all day long, maybe that’s why since it was papa’s first day of “OH, WOW, I CAN SEE AND I HAVE VERY LITTLE STIGMATISM…WOW, WOW, WOW!”
You get the picture, right? So to make up for it, voilä.
Brighten your day with these quotes from Nora Ephron, whose writing mama adores.
And just a word from our eye doc, when your eye doc says it’s time for cataract removal, GO! Papa and mama waited a bit too long and papa’s was more difficult to remove, as cataracks harden over time. This makes the operation a bit more difficult but not dangerous, just longer.
Mama and papa are both so tickled with what they are seeing-enhanced colors, sharpness, no glasses for papa (!) except for reading but the doc said to just get an inexpensive pair at the pharmacy.
Well, that’s our thanks: new eyes for papa two days ago and your kind wishes for his operation going well. Well, it did, merci!
And, just a note. The new leader of Hungary, Magyar, has lots of kitties!! He can’t be all bad, right?
I am ex-eyes-ted after watching over papa in his operation!

Such a joyful and uplifting update, what a wonderful difference it makes when vision is restored and the world becomes bright and clear again. It’s heartening to hear the procedure went well and that recovery is bringing so much happiness. A grateful heart and a good doctor truly make all the difference.
Oui, the world’s color changes so radically. Mama thought her shoes were orange and they were PINK. Thanks for your visit.
The Lady has been told she will need that surgery in the future. Glad to hear positive things about it.
Oh, good to know. It’s easy when done at the proper time. And a MIRACLE. She will not believe what she has NOT been seeing….
I had cataract surgery on my eyes to gain distant vision again which I missed more than close up. Besides, I have several pair of great (and inexpensive) glasses for reading and being on the computer, etc. now. It’s the BEST of both worlds.
Hugs, Pam
MERCI Ms Pam and I shall pass this on to papa…he feels the same, I am sure!
Wonderful quotes from the talented Nora Ephron, Loulou. I’m so happy that your mama and papa are seeing the world in all its beauty with fresh eyes.
YES YES YES, and so good to have done it but oh, we wish we had done it long ago….waited a bit too long but what the hell…
I’m glad it has all worked out so well. My first surgery was very hard.
Here’s to good eyesight!
Well, papa’s was difficult, too, because the cataracts were hard and should have been done a few years before.

Great photo of you LouLou. I am glad your papa can see better now. I always liked Nora Ephron. She died way too young. XO
Oui, she did, and Joan Didion, too….sigh…
Great news about Papa (our huMom had been putting off cataract surgery so she is rethinking) and great quotes – especially about reading !
DO NOT PUT OFF!!! The cataracts become harder with age and the operation takes more time but we are sure he doc is the best source of info. GO GO GO.
I’m so glad your Papa’s eye surgery went well.

It’s amazing how well we can see after surgery. All the colors, too. I’m glad all went well.
