I could have told mama those shoes were multi-colored! But she didn’t ask…
*****
WOW, mama just started to put on her shoes to see the eye docs for a follow up and squeaked (which means teary in our lingo) to papa that she didn’t know they (the shoes, not the eye docs) had so many colors!!! She thought they were sort of greyish…and lo and behold, they are multicolored!!!

And this little rosie that a friend brought the other night to dinner is such a sweet fuschia!

(Mama thought it was pale pink…)
Hurrah for sight! And one more to go….
(Well, of course there’s only one more, mama. Did you think you have more than TWO eyeballs? Jeez, Louise. And who is Louise anyway??

Yes, when the cataracts come out, the colors come back right. I found out some folded paper cranes in my children’s house were yellow, not white!
WHAT FUN to go look at all the kid’s colored stufff! But now mama thinks her orange shoes are pink!!! Uh, oh…
Wow So glad your mama is now seeing colors the way they should be seen.
It will be even better in two weeks….we hope.
I think your mama’s shoes are fabulous, Loulou! Pretty roses too.
Merci, Ms Militza…they are Bernie Mev shoes, washable and elastic and so comfy and last forever!
Ooooh those are fun shoes, they look comfortable too! Unlike the roses, best in a vase I think.
HAHA, yes, although in her state of mind sometimes, mama could put her shoes in a vase haha.
Those are cute shoes. XO
Merci, Ms E, and so comfy to walk in and washable!
Those shoes are very colorful and pretty!
Brian’s Home ~ Forever
Merci, Mr T. Mama loves them even more now that she can see the colors, haha.
Glad Mama is enjoying the results of her surgery !
Oh, yes, oh, yes. And one to go….2 week from now.
Yay for good sight!!
YEP, seeing is so amazing, especially the colors.
YES, Yays all around..
Wow on those shoes! All the colors had become muddy…until…Amazing how sight becomes so wonderful after those cataracts are removed.
I have them too, but doc says they are not ready yet…
You are probably too young…unlike mama, haha. Yes, they are crazy shoes but what isn’t around here?
Hmmm, I am in my seventies, believe it or not…ancient. When I was twenty and in college, I visited my former highschool and sat in a ninth grade class, while my former teacher gave his lesson and had me jpin in…it was a string class (music), and suddenly all the students were abuzz v[because he told them that he had taught me way back when, and they thought I was old, LOL!
WHAT FUN to do that, even if the kids were way off track. At that age we used to think ANYONE over about 18 was ancient.
Both items are lovely, and whilst we can’t wear flowers, I’ll take the roses over the shoes most days.
Have a wonderful and optician free week!
ERin
MERCI, Erin and family. Love hearing from you.
I laughed…I remember the first time after my surgery and I looked in the mirror through at least the one clear eye, and lo! I saw some wrinkles..well…lines…in my face! I was horrified! They were not distinguishable until the surgery. What a surprise!
Uh, oh….I may not tell mama that. Another friend said the same thing…..but to see is to BE, right? Wrinkles and all, and hey, they are laugh lines, right?
