Stretchin out on my cloud while it sprinkles up here…that Rasta has stollen my thunder, haha.
Uh, oh, soccer match tonight, seven for roast chicken and potato salad, and Rasta still wandering around outside wanting snuggles. Mama is so ambivalent, whatever that means, about this kitty.
But the step-grandkids are giving him LOTS of attention….and one is an expert kitty-handller. We’ll see what develops.
Shhhh….let’s be quiet while he gets snuggled….

I forgot, does Rasta have a home? He sure likes all the attention he gets.
He lives jusst up the street! He’s 17 years old and has been around forever but suddenly, he loves papa.
Awww that Rasta is a heart stealer. You are still so ethereally beautiful though, Loulou. Your mama and papa must enjoy the grandkids and the delicious family meal.
Well, we are having a grand old time and the kids are all so sweet and kind and loving and …uh, oh, as I write this, Rasta appeared!!!! Off to give him breakfast.
Well Rasta looks quite happy to have some attention – which he may not get at wherever his home is/was. Sometimes people just lose interest and allow their pets to wander and find another home where they can – IF they can. Anyway, it’s nice of you to help him out. I’m going to guess that whoever HAD him would be looking for him if they wanted him……but whatever his situation is, THANK YOU for helping him with a good meal and some kindness!!!
Hugs, Pam (and Teddy too!)
Aw, Ms P, we are so happy to care for him but what happens if mama and papa have to travel and why doesn’t HIS mama find us (just donw the street – she knows mama) and say something? Weird.
Ooh, I would love to be you in my next life.
Well, merci. But do you wish to be with me, Loulou, or mama, haha? Thank you.
Rasta looks very happy with the attention!
Brian’s Home ~ Forever
He is way too happy….mama feels guilty for helping him. I think she needs to talk to his mamaa.
It’s hard to know when you are ready for a new kitty, and even harder to co-opt a neighbor’s cat, even if the neighbor isn’t caring for it properly.
Rasta might prove to be like Ms. G’s Mr. Gray cat. He was abandoned when his owners moved and became somewhat feral, feeding with the other community cats at the homes where food is provided, but always remembered how nice it was to live in a house.
During last winter’s snow, he came in Ms. G’s house and now is a fixture, expecting to stay, and she has stopped arguing, “He’s not my cat!” He’s allowed out, but he never leaves her yard now and makes sure she lets him in at night.
Oh, dear, a lovely story but mama and papa travel sometimes and would have to supply a Rasta-sitter during those travels. He simply is not mama’s cat and she can’t take another person’s kitty.
I would put some flea treatment on him and bring him in. Dinner sounds good. XO
He does’t seem to have fleas or anything wrong with him.
Lots of admirers !
Oh, they adore him and he jumped up on my granddaughter’s lap last night outside and made biscuits. Heis right at home…
Such an awe worthy post!! We really do think Rasta wants to be a member of your clan!
Well, he might but he is someone else’s kitty and that’s difficult to deal with.
