Well, today I found the PERFECT sun puddle but a shadow LOOMED over my rest and relaxation hour. Jeez, Louise, you’d think a professional photographer would know better!

Mama is making baguettes this week, nailing down the recipe and the forming and making it easy as pie…uh…a baguette.
These just came out of the oven and smell really good.
Maybe a little butter, mama, non?

What a wonderfully HUGE sun puddle – even with The Mom taking over some of the sun to snap your photo there’s lots of warm goodness flowing through the window! Your Mama’s baguettes look DELISH – makes my Mom’s mouth water…..my Mom would love one slice with butter and another with spreadable cheese…oh boy!

Well, mama was in the bakery business so she does this stuff easily, thank heaven, because even brea in France is not as good as it used to be!
I am drooling over those baguettes!! We used to make a type of garlic bread with slices of that…dipped in my garlic dressing, and then sprinkled with some hard cheese(s), and broiled for a bit. YUM! With soup or pasta…or whenever!
Sometimes we would just dip the bread and eat it cold that way…actually room temp.
Sorry your sun got eclipsed…sigh…I had to laugh at the other shadow, I do the same thing sometimes. Or even on purpose to soften the harsh sunlight.
Drooling here, too! But mama STANDS there while I am sunbathing and she thinks it’s a good pic and I think it’s blocking my TAN!!!

Well, they are tasty and mama bakes every week, then freezes slices for meals. Good smells abound.

When I was in high school my friend’s mother churned her own butter (from her Jersey cow) and drafted us to help…then we would all sit down with the butter and a loaf of fresh bread and do severe damage !
OH, for a cow and a churn! Mama’s grandpapa churned all their butter, too. And he would skim off the cream and leave buttermilk…nummmy.

We could do that but I think they would suffer and be stale on arrival. Maybe use them to ward off attacking pigeons, haha.
