Bye, Bye, Birdies

The birdie is back with family? YAY!

Well, in just a little while, now, the swallow family will take off and go wherever they go.  Around here they eat the insects that gather in crowds in summer and one can see the swallows swooping and diving through the throngs of bugs, having nice little aperos before the main course, whatever that is.

These animal happenings all around us are fascinating.  As soon as mama can get the video on my blog, you will see something extraordinary that mama’s stepson and family ran into while taking a little trip in Sicily.  Mama had seen them before, but just not as BIG!!!

Curious?  I’ll get to work trying to get a WhatsApp video into a WordPress blog!

I think I need a nap before this ordeal….

And a WordPress guru’s help.

Loulou, my humans thought of making Sicily one of their stops when planning their last trip to Italy. They ended up visiting the Island of Capris instead, ’cause Mom wanted to stay a cat-themed hotel there that has a cat co-host and a cat greeter. Tee hee hee.

Well, we have goelands – HUGE white birds who are always hungry – and from time to tme they kill pigeons (a horrible sight) – and they empty the garbage cans and the streets are littered with garbage. But mostly they follow the fishing boats and pick out the best fish! Hpe they keep doing that since the fish are filled with plastic! We don’t buy here – except Picard!

Our Mummy uploads the WhatsApp videos to YouTube and then She can embed them in WordPress blogs (her purr-sonal blog is on WordPress, Ours is on Blogspot).

We haven’t seen any nests close enough to the house to keep an eye on them but in the woods there’s lots of activity with comings and goings so we think a LOT of bird-families are in there…..somewhere. The bluejays enjoy diving down from tree limbs to fly about a foot over my head to torment me – or maybe they’re just making sure I stay away from THEIR families??!!!

Hugs, Teddy
