Well, we are, of course, at home on New Year’s Eve, so I can wear any mask I wish, but I seem to always choose this one!
Who knows why, haha?
But I have a ball with these coconut masks!

After all, we have been and are still going through a lot with one another.

Black-eyed peas here for breakfast with cornbread…old Southern thing (and my Mom is an old Southern thing having been born in Kentucky!). Happy New Year to you and your folks dear Loulou!

We had the same thing and cornbread made with actual corn kernals in it, which mama loves, and chili powder added, which gives it a little zingaroo.
Lentils today for us!!! But Mamma keeps telling Papa that if he doesn’t buy Loto tickets they will never be rich!! Did you hear fireworks last night – we did!!! It was illegal – but some crazies set off fireworks!! Guess Mamma will read in Nice-Matin if they got arrested, LOL!!!
Some pops around here, too….and yells, and then everyone went to sleep!

Well, we had a ham sandwich (and some Doritos) so we guess that counts as pork.
It’s the peas that bring luck..but maybe ham can, too.
Thank you the folks haven’t done anything for New Year’s Eve in ages so it’ll be pretty much like all the others. But we sure will eat our Black-eyed peas tomorrow.
